What is Thai Boxing?
Thai Boxing, also known as Muay Thai is a martial art and combat sport that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. Also known as the “art of eight limbs” as it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and legs. Thai Boxing, the national sport of Thailand, is now practiced around the world by both those who strive to be competitive champions of the sport and by those who simply want to be a better version of themselves as martial artists.
Is Thai Boxing Safe for my child?
While there is risk of injury in all physical sports or activities, safety of our students is made a priority both in the design of our program and presentation and practice of the techniques. Furthermore, NO STRIKES TO THE HEAD are allowed in the Jr Thai Boxing program. While the head is a target for strikes in Thai Boxing completion after the age of 12 years old. The Jr Thai Boxing program prioritizes safety!
Our Beginner program for Jr Thai Boxing!
The Jr Thai Boxing Fundamentals program is intended to introduce children between the ages of 8 and 13 years to the art of Thai Boxing in a fun and safe environment. Learning how to Set and achieve goals, apply discipline in achieving them, and adopting respect for one’s self and others, the fundamentals program lays foundation success not only in Thai Boxing, but in life ahead.
